You know how I’m wired—I’ve always got a Bible open, a notebook half full, and about eight tabs on my laptop of “something I mean to study later.” For years, I tried to capture what God was teaching me in a way that actually sticks. It’s called Simple Bible Notes, and it feels like the study tool I’ve always needed. It’s where I gather EVERYTHING the Lord’s shown me—those connections between verses (you can cross-reference), journal moments during prayer, ideas for future teachings, even half-baked sermon outlines that might grow into something more.
It’s not flashy. There’s no noise or clutter. Just a simple space where I can:
Write or import Bible lessons I’ve taught or am preparing
Keep sermon notes—both the ones I’ve preached and the ones I’ve listened to
Store quotes, reflections, and favorite passages
Use the SOAPS method (Scripture, Observation, Application, Prayer, Share) in the App as a fillable form
Cross-reference verses and trace themes through Scripture
Search everything later when I can’t remember which notebook I wrote it in
The longer I use it, the more I like it! I’m glad I spent the time on it. I can scroll through my notes and literally see how God’s been shaping me—how certain passages kept showing up in different seasons, how prayers evolved into stories, and how lessons from years ago still echo today.
It’s become part of my rhythm—like sitting down with coffee, opening my Bible, and knowing every note I write actually has a home.
