A few years ago, I was invited to a weekend gathering with a few people in a cozy living room to trace the entire story arc of the Bible. I didn’t really know what I’d gain. I’d been to Bible college, earned a Master’s Degree in Ministerial Leadership, and had served in just about every context of ministry and faith-based non-profit you could imagine. But Tim Schmoyer was my friend, and I assumed that if it was that important for him, it might be important for me.
Well, a few years later, I can confidently say that I am so incredibly thankful that Julie and I decided to make that trek to Hebron, Kentucky, and spend that weekend with those people, because ever since then I’ve never been able to read my Bible the same.
