Thank you for this, Kevin. I had an opportunity with a student of mine just the other day. She said that she didn't understand why I was always so positive (or something to that effect). I answered from my heart, "It's not me. It's my faith that gives me peace." I felt she was reaching, so we talked a bit more. I don't remember everything that I said, but I have tried not to force anything. She expressed that she was feeling despairing about people, and i sensed that she had just experienced a break-up with someone she cared about. I sometimes wonder if I should contact her again. She reminds me so much of myself, and I feel that God is so close. I don't want to overstep and push her away.

Hey Dani! What an amazing story. You definitely stepped into a crucial convo and knocked on the door of a spiritual one.

YES! you should contact her again. It sounds like the Holy Spirit was giving you an open door.

One of my favorite phrases to reboot the conversation is “You know, I just can’t stop thinking about our conversation the other day.” That is a bridge back into the pathway. It will mean a ton to her that you were thinking about her between convos.

I have an equipping tool to help you understand this better called 21 Day Challenge if you are interested in going through it I can set you up with a facilitator. We run them all the time. You can find out more about it in the toolbox at diciplemakingcollective.com.

But as far as the conversation, how do you think you'd approach it if you get to see her again? What stuck out most to you in the last convo? Start asking the Holy Spirit to give you wisdom to know your next steps. This girl seems like she is a potential disciple for you.

You could try my virtual disciple-making coach and put all this in there and see what it tells you. there is a link in the menu on the DMC website.

Keep me updated!! Blessings.
